Renowned astronomer and skeptic Dr. Carl Sagan plays both host and narrator of this 13-hour series discussing the origins of life, the human colonization of Space, and some of the pressing issues to our species and the planet on which we live. Sagan, with his sincere enthusiasm and genuine interest in bringing science to the public, covers the landscape of understanding; History, Biology, Genetics, Neuroscience, Physics, Chemistry, Astronomy, Religion and the relationships of all these with human politics throughout history and across cultures
Cosmos: A Personal Voyage was first aired on US Television in September of 1980; It was written by Carl Sagan, Ann Druyan, and Steven Soter, with Sagan as presenter. It was executive-produced by Adrian Malone, produced by David Kennard, Geoffrey Haines-Stiles and Gregory Andorfer, and directed by the producers and David Oyster, Richard Wells, Tom Weidlinger, and others.
